Soils, marine and river sediments

Reclamation interventions for the environmental recovery of disused industrial areas and illegal waste burial sites include the determination of soil contamination.

Gruppo CSA SpA technicians sample soils at different depths supporting geotechnicians during drilling.
Soil samples are then analyzed by the lab in order to detect the possible contamination, in compliance with Part Fourth of D.Lgs 03 April 2006 n. 152 (Regulation on waste management and contaminated site reclamation) or according both to D.M. 471, 25 October 1999 (Technical regulation for the cleanup of contaminated sites) and the possible regional decisions in force.

Excavated soil and rocks excavations are tested according to the Operating Procedures for their disposal of and/or re-employment, in compliance with the art. 186 of D.L.gs 03, April 2006 n.152.

Moreover, studies both about bioreclamation for on site ed ex site reclamation of soils contaminated by organic pollutants and studies of intertization of materials contaminated by heavy metals and other inogranic pollutantsare carried outthrough lab tests.

Agronomic soils, compost, biostabilized, ammendants

Agronomic soils are tested in our lab in order to study the cultivation for which they are most suitable, calculate manure application rates, the amount of ammendants to be used according to the different cultivations planted or to be planted.

Analyses to examine the spreading of effluent purification muds are performed, too.

Specific research about the phytotoxicity of agronomic soils are carried out on the basis of the amounts of contaminants coming from factories and incinerators.

All qualitative tests are run on ammendants and biostabilized, included respirometric tests to determine compost stability.
