Waste
Gruppo C.S.A. carries out sampling and testing of waste, both solid and liquid, to properly characterise it and make sure it meets landfill waste acceptance procedures.
Waste Sampling
Gruppo C.S.A. conducts waste sampling in accordance with UNI 10802 (Liquid, granular, semi-solid waste and sludge – Manual sampling and eluate analysis), after coming up with a Sampling Plan.
Our staff also carry out Waste Composition Analysis of samples, which are sorted, weighed and classified using ACCREDIA-accredited procedures (ANPA RTI CTN RIF 1/2000 Met.3).
Waste Testing and Evaluation
Our qualified technicians analyse and classify waste in accordance with Legislative Decree 152/06.
All waste produced has a corresponding EWC (European Waste Catalogue) code and is classified as follows:
- based on its origin: municipal waste or special waste;
- based on its hazardous properties: hazardous waste or non-hazardous waste.
If no codes apply to the waste, waste characterisation is required.
Accurate waste characterisation is a key requirement for the classification and safe disposal of waste.
Waste Recovery
Our team of experts will determine whether and at which extent your non-hazardous (Ministerial Decree of 05/02/98 and Ministerial Decree No. 186/06) and hazardous waste (Ministerial Decree No. 161/2002) can be recovered.
On-site Analysis of Contaminants
We provide on-site waste and contaminated land testing services thanks to our two mobile units, which generate reliable contamination data in real time using accredited procedures.

- Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPH)
- Aliphatic hydrocarbons with C≤12
- Aliphatic hydrocarbons with C>12

- Aromatic hydrocarbons (BTEX)
- MTBE, ETBE
- Tetraethyl lead
- Heavy metals (XRF technique)
